日本水彩展「マティス展も」

マティス鑑賞の記に付きまして後述いたします。

★Matisse is known to establish Salon d'Automne.
And Nagi was selected for the Salon d'Automne 9 times.
So, he is a kind of my ancestor.
★マティスはサロンドートンヌを興した事で知られ、
岩崎ナギはサロンドートンヌに９回入選している。
つまりある種の祖先のようなものだ。

★Nevertheless I've not felt I directly connect with Matisse.
Because I and his style are quite different.
But the bond was in an unexpected place.
★それにも関わらず岩崎ナギはマティスと、
直接に繋がっていると感じた事は無かった。
しかし、絆は意外な所にあったのだ。

★Nagi's style is "Imaginative Tagging".
Sometimes when I say so to someone, some percentage of people say,
"It's Good for you if you would be as famous as Banksy."
But it's totally missing the point.
Even though I and Banksy are different in fame,
we're kind of "colleagues".
As our both ancestor would be "Keith Haring".
He's our hero, maybe.
★岩崎ナギが「想像の落書」を描いています、
と人に告げると幾人かは、
「バンクシーの様に有名になれると良いですね。」
と言う。
だがそれは全く的外れだ。
なぜならバンクシーと岩崎ナギは、
知名度の差こそあれ「同僚」であって、
共通の祖先は恐らく「キースへリング」だからだ。

★However what's the Roots for "Keith Haring"?
Firstly, Nagi supposed it was "Africa".
It could be one of ansewers as his powerful lines.
But another possibility could be Matisse whom Nagi has appreciated at the museum.
Hey, just look at this cut out of Mattise, my friend.
It's almost Keith Haring!
★だが「キースへリング」の源流はどこだ？
ナギは最初「アフリカ」だと思っていた。
原始的な力強い線から恐らくアフリカも正解だろう。
だが一つには今日ナギが見たマティスではないか？
マティスのカットアウトした作品を見て欲しい。
これはキースへリングそのものだ。

★That way, Nagi was able to feel a direct connection with the flow like this.
Mattise→Keith Haring→IWASAKI Nagi
(Or, Mattise→Keith Haring→Banksy)
The hidden line is now clear.
And Nagi can feel the direct connection with Salon d'Automne,
foundred 120 years ago in 1903,
or the connection with Japan Watercolor founded in 1913.
Like this our history means not only yesterday but also creating Today.

マティス→キースへリング→岩崎ナギ
（あるいはマティス→キースへリング→バンクシー）
は知られざる流れでつながり、s
１９０３年、１２０年前にマティスが拓いたサロンドートンヌと
（あるいは１９１３に創設された日本水彩と）、、
岩崎ナギは初めて直接の繋がりを感じる事が出来たのだった。
歴史は昨日までのものでは無く、
この様に今日を創っているものなのだと。
